Wayne van Rensburg - Our Tech Maven Born in the heart of Bloemfontein, Wayne has been shaping agricultural technology for 13 years as our Technology Manager Seedcare AME. Since 2013, he's been the driving force behind the Seedcare Institute in Brits, focusing on perfecting seed treatment recipes and quality assessment. A proud father of three beautiful daughters, Wayne's passion lies in working closely with customers to elevate application standards, ultimately boosting seed treatment protection and yields.
His superhero of choice? Batman - fitting for someone who tackles agricultural challenges with such precision!
Ron Ramsander - Our Quality Champion Hailing from Newcastle, KZN, Rounel joined Syngenta in January 2014 and hasn't looked back. As our Seedcare Quality and Biologicals Assessment Lead, she's been in agriculture since 2010, mastering the art of seed sample testing and demonstrating product effectiveness. Married for 14 years with two girls aged 14 and 12, Rounel comes from a unique family line - if you meet a Ramsander, they're definitely related! Her vision for agriculture? Ending world hunger. Her motto? "You don't need eyes to see, you need vision." And if she had a superpower, she'd love to read minds!
Jedd Govender - Our Rising Star Fresh from Durban, Jedd joined us in March 2023 as our Lab Analyst, bringing youthful energy to our quality assessment team. With a teacher father and sales-oriented mother, plus a younger brother in marketing, Jedd's family has instilled in him the value of continuous learning. What makes Syngenta special to him? The family-like atmosphere where everyone is embraced. His superhero pick? Spider-Man! Jedd's advice to youth resonates with his own journey: embrace a growth mindset and understand that learning is lifelong.
